Hazel Katherine Kaspervik Browning, age 89, formerly of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away, Tuesday, June 9th, 1992.

She was born May 30, 1903 in Quincy, Illinois to Frank and Emma (Grashoff) Kaspervik. The widow of Robert J. Browning, Hazel resided at 100 Rainbow Dr. in Collinsville for 30 years and was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She graduated from Quincy High School and worked for Dr. Arthur Bitter as a receptionist there. Later, shemarried E. LeRoy Wheeler and had a son, Jack L. who served honorably in the US Navy during World War II and the Korean War. She was employed in St. Louis, Missouri for 25 years as a seamstress with National Tailoring. She lived for the past four years, after the death of her son, in Utah with her great niece and family. Her husband, son, and four brothers: Walter, Frank, William and Elmer Kaspervik and a sister Edna Lee preceded her in death.

She is survived by Catherine Kaspervik, her sister-in-law, who still resides in Collinsville, Ill.; her great niece, Donna Sweet, Bountiful; six great-great nieces and nephews as well as seven great-great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 15, 1992, 11 a.m., Herbert Kassly Funeral Home, 515 Vandalia St, Collinsville, Ill., where friends and family may call Sunday evening, 5-7 p.m.

Interment: St. John's Memorial Cemetery.
