SANDY-Richard James Keemer, age 75, died June 10, 1992.

He was born April 6, 1917 in Verdun, Quebec, Canada, to Ebezener and Agnes Rose Houghton Keemer. He married Jessie Aitchison in Montreal, Canada, April 14, 1949; later divorced. Jim married Ila Newbold in Sandy, Utah June 21, 1987. Jim worked as a maintenance supervisor for Canadair in Montreal, Canada and also for the LDS Church in the magazine department. He was an active member of the LDS Church and enjoyed photograph and being a volunteer for the Sandy City Police Department. A handicapped Veteran of World War II, he served also as a state delegate to the Republican Party State Convention.Survivors: wife, Ila Keemer, Sandy; sons, James and Bruce, both Salt Lake City; daughter, Mrs. John (Heather) Mafi, Kansas City, Kansas; eight grandchildren; stepsons, Gary, Neil, Randy, Val and Kelly Newbold; stepdaughter, Marlene English; 16 step-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Jones, Evelyn Keemer and Mary Trudeau, all Canada.

Funeral services Saturday, June 13, 1992,

11 a.m. in the Hillcrest 6th LDS Ward Chapel, 1000 East 8485 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Friday, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
