Cleveland's Glenallen Hill is pinching himself to make sure he isn't dreaming.
"This is unbelieveable. I've hit the ball this hard before but they always ended up being outs," said Hill, who led off the 11th inning with his second homer of the game and fourth in two days and Brook Jacoby followed with another homer Wednesday night to give the Indians a 4-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers.Hill hit a one-strike pitch from reliever Mike Munoz, 0-1, into the lower deck in left-center. Munoz replaced Mike Henneman to start the 11th. Jacoby then hit his third homer of the season into the upper deck in left.
"I've been coming up in situations where I've had a chance to help the team and as well as I've been swinging, things were going to happen, " Hill said.
Hill's power demonstration didn't surprise Indians' manager Mike Hargrove.
"Glen's really swinning the bat well. He's as strong as anyone on the team and when he hits it well, it really jumps," Hargrove said.
It was the first time the Indians hit back-to-back homers since Sept. 22, 1990.
