What: Summer firefighting training.

When: June 15-19.Where: Sevier Valley Technology Center, Richfield.

Applications are being accepted by the Southern Region Division of State Lands and Forestry, the Fishlake National Forest and Richfield District of the Bureau of Land Management.

Those completing the training will be placed on a firefighters list and will be on call to fight fires. They will receive $7.46 per hour while employed.

Participants must be 18 or older, pass a physical fitness examination, be prepared to leave for two to three weeks if necessary, have lace-up leather boots with at least 8-inch tops and lug soles, and complete the training.
