Joseph F. Cooke, died June 10, 1992 of natural causes (heart failure).

Born July 15, 1918, Conneaut, Ohio to Cecil B. and Dora Gee Cooke. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Married Ruth Hunter in Salt Lake City, Utah, September 17, 1944. Veteran of World War II, serving in the 8th Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theater. Professional dancer, singer and master of ceremonies in his youth in the midwest.Resided in Salt Lake City for the last 46 years. Retired from Newspaper Agency Corp after 18 years of service as a retail advertising salesman. Sales Manager at KDYL Radio for two years. Owner of his own advertising agency six years.

Survived by his wife, Salt Lake City; two daughters, Mrs. David (Christina) Tyler, Salt Lake City; Mrs Randy (Nicolette) Traver, Hollister, Calif.; two sons, Jeffrey Cooke and Bradley Cooke, both of Salt Lake City; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. John (Cathryn) Shea, Youngstown, Ohio.

He was a devoted husband and father and grandfather and shared with his family a special love and concern for animals and children.

His favorite hobbies were fishing, golfing and travelling.

The family requests donations to the Humane Society of Utah in lieu of floral tributes.

Memorial services will be held Monday, 2 p.m. June 15, 1992 in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 So. Highland Drive, where friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. and Monday one-half hour prior to services.

Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
