A thief looking for loot wound up stealing a bag full of soiled diapers, after assaulting the mother to get it.
Police said a 25-year-old woman was changing her baby's diaper in the backseat of her car in a suburban shopping center parking lot Thursday when she felt someone pulling at the bag near her leg.The thief kicked her and punched her in the face, causing bruises and breaking her tooth.
The man was last seen running from the parking lot with the diapers and other baby items.
