Ross Perot spent nearly two hours discussing foreign policy with former President Richard Nixon, a Republican source says.

The undeclared independent candidate for president visited Nixon's office in Woodcliff Lake, N.J., on Thursday. The two later had lunch at Nixon's home in nearby Park Ridge.Perot requested the briefing, according to the source who spoke on condition of anonymity. He said several weeks ago he needed to devote more study to the issues.

Nixon, who recently returned from Russia, has said he will discuss foreign policy with any candidate. Nixon has said he supports President Bush's re-election.
