R. Ross Bowman has been appointed to oversee environmental compliance efforts of Thiokol Corp.'s space operations in Utah, Alabama and Florida. He has worked for the company 32 years and will oversee elimination of chemicals and solvents targeted by the Bush administration. Rodger Nye was promoted to vice president/sales division for the investment firm of Smith Barney. He was formerly an account executive. Patricia Kirberg was named manager of the 70th South Banking Center of Zions First National Bank. She was formerly employed by West One Bank. Mark Maxwell has been hired as senior art director at Scopes-Garcia-Carlisle. He was formerly employed by McCann-Erickson, Singapore. Steven Anderson was named operations officer at the Kearns office of First Security Bank. He was formerly operations officer at the bank's Rose Park office. Jeffrey Geigle has been appointed general manager of Sterling Staff, a full-service temporary and permanent placement firm. He is a 1978 graduate of the University of Utah.
