Dr. Talmage Maiben Thomson, age 64 of Pleasant Grove died peacefully at his home of natural causes, June 11, 1992.

He was born March 10, 1918 in Ephraim, Utah to John Maiben and Eva Dorthea Jensen Thomas. He married Phyllis Joy Poulson, Dec. 11, 1942 in the Manti LDS Temple. His early education took place in southern Utah schools. He later graduated from George Washington University Medical School in 1948. He entered general practice of medicine in Pleasant Grove in 1949 and continued therein until retirement on April 1, 1983.He was an active member of the medical community, having served in many leadership positions including President of the Utah County Medical Association and President of the American Fork Hospital medical staff, and was a member of the Utah Medical Association. He was the first recipient of the "Celebration of Thanks" award presented by the Central Utah Health Care Foundation.

He served in the military during World War II, later retiring as a colonel in the Utah National Guard. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served a mission to Denmark and Louisville, Kentucky. He was a member of the Timpanogos Stake High Council for 10 years, and also served as Stake Executive Secretary.

He is survived by his wife, of Pleasant Grove; three sons and a daughter, Stephen T. Thomson (Ruth), Ogden; John Wallace Thomson (Sally), South Jordan; Mrs. Lynn (Barbara) Bullock, Highland; eighteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. O. Rex (Faun) Warner, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Hart (Jane) Gardner, Richfield.

Services will be Monday, 12 noon at the Pleasant Grove 2nd Ward, 800 No. 100 West. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 500 So. 300 East, Pleasant Grove, or Monday at the church from 10:45-11:45 a.m.

Interment, Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
