Four high school students enrolled in a military training program and who were members of a secret society were arrested Friday for the alleged execution-style slaying of a fellow society member, a police spokesman said.

Detective Larry Kallestad said the four, whose ages ranged from 16 to 18, were in the school's Reserve Officer Training Corps. They were members of a "secret underground club" formed within the ROTC at the Polytechnic High School in the Los Angeles suburb of Long Beach, he said.

Schuyler MacPherson, 18, two 17-year-olds and a 16-year old were arrested at their homes for the murder of fellow ROTC and club member Alexander Giraldo, 16. The names of the younger students were withheld because of their ages.
