With a dispute brewing between Syracuse City and the Hooper Water District, Davis County officials are dusting off the county's dormant boundary commission.

The boundary commission consists of three county officials, three mayors and three citizens at large.The commission hears appeals of annexation and boundary disputes between cities and other political entities.

Syracuse City and the Hooper Water District have been involved in a dispute for more than a year over supplying culinary water to county residents along 4000 West between 2700 South and 1700 South.
