Jemima (Mina) Gates, of Salt Lake City, Utah, died Friday, June 12, 1992 in Denver, Colorado.

She was born May 30, 1902 in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland, to James Russell and Mary Duncan Gates. She came to Salt Lake City in 1923, and was employed as secretary to the Superintendent of the D&RG Railroad for 47 years until retirement. She was a longtime member of the Railroad Business Womens Organization and a lifelong member of the LDS Church.She is survived by one sister, Jean Gates Maxwell of Vancouver Island, B.C. Canada; and various nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 16th, at Larkins Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, with a visitation one hour prior to services. Burial at the Canadian Legion Plot in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.

Family requests no flowers, however, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
