Ariena Stok Vandenberg, age 88, passed away on June 13, 1992at her home in Sandy.
Born on April 20, 1904 in Rotterdam, Netherlands to Jan and Jannigje de Bel Stok. Married John Henry Vandenberg on June 18,1930 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, he died on June 3, 1992.Active member of the LDS Church. She came to America because of the Gospel. Served in the Primary, Mutual, Relief Society and sang in all the Ward Choirs. She was a housekeeper the Rotterdam Mission Home.
Survived by two daughters Mrs. Paul (Lenore) Mendenhall, Alpine, UT; Mrs. Jack (Norine)
Francis, Sandy, UT; 11 grandchildren: Michael, Mathew, Marty and Bronco Mendenhall; Tony, Andrew, Mathew, Casey, Cody and Brandi Francis and 10 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a grandson Tagg Francis. Sister Jannigje Menk, Rotterdam, South Holland, Netherlands.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 12 Noon June 17,1992 in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m.
Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
