Wilfred Harold (Jim) Davis, age 77, passed away June 14, 1992 in a local hospital.

Jim was born on October 16, 1914 in Sacramento, California to Kenneth Halion Davis and Laurine Abel Davis. He Married Mary LaVon Garretton November 22, 1950 in Salt Lake City.Jim served in the US Army as Sergeant in the Third Division, Third Medical Battalion in Africa, Anzlo, Italy, France, andGermany and was awarded 8 Bronze Stars, the French Croix de Guerre with Palm, and the Bronze Star Medal.

He attended West High School and was the Lieutenant Colonel in ROTC. He was employed with Boise Cascade Corp., formerly Morrison Merrill & Co., as product manager for 40 years, retiring in 1975.

Survived by his wife Mary; son and daughter in-law, Jim K. and Donna M. Davis; grandson James Bradford Davis; brother in-law Forest J. Pollard, Independence, MO. Preceded in death by his sister Louise Kathleen Pollard.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 2:00 p.m. June 17,1992 in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to services.

Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
