The city's proposed 1992-93 fiscal budget includes no tax or fee increases and no frills, according to Mike Moyes, city manager.

"The budget is a very lean budget, probably representative of the city's ability to provide quality services with no frills," Moyes said.Moyes said sales tax revenues will rise dramatically next year because of a change to a monthly collection system for Utah cities. The city will essentially gain one extra month of sales tax revenue next year.

The proposed budget, which if approved will go into effect July 1, also includes a community block grant for $300,000 to install a storm drain on 1500 West.

The parks budget is substantially lower because the city plans no new land acquisition and no major park construction projects.

The budget includes merit increases for employees and a 1 percent cost of living increase and a 1 percent Christmas bonus.

Although the police department budget is down about $5,000 from the current year, the fire department's budget shows a $8,000 increase.

The City Council has accepted a preliminary budget and will inspect and approve the final budget plan later this month.
