A man accused of killing a man and injuring another at a West Central City bar pleaded not guilty to the shootings Monday.

Enrique Romero Gutierez, 29, pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, a first-degree felony, and aggravated assault, a third-degree felony. Third District Judge Kenneth Rigtrup set a trial for July 29.Gutierez is accused of killing Jorge A. Amador-Villelas, 29, of Central City, during a fight at The Club, 501 W. 200 South, on April 18.

Gutierez is also accused of shooting Victor Sauceda. The motive for the shootings is unclear, but the three men were apparently involved in fights before the shootings occurred.
