President Bush's older brother is being sued by an allegedly mob-connected Japanese firm over a 1989 stock deal that went sour.

West Tsusho Co. of Tokyo charged that Prescott Bush Jr., who helped arrange the deal, promised to reimburse it for half its $5 million investment in a New York financial services company if the stock lost its value within five years.The New York company, Asset Management, International Financing and Settlement Ltd., filed for bankruptcy and went out of business this spring.
