Two popular party bands will perform Thursday, June 18, in a concert to benefit the local Food and Shelter Coalition.
The Crazy 8s from Portland, Ore., and Provo's Stretch Armstrong will headline the show, which organizers promise will "take a bite out of hunger."The Crazy 8s, touring in support of their "Doggapotamus World" LP, have played sold-out shows throughout the state, incuding Salt Lake City's Zephyr Club. Joining the band will be Stretch Armstrong, a local "ska scene" favorite that has opened for many club concerts, including both "Skalapalooza" shows.
Admission for the show, which starts at 8 p.m. in the Provo Armory, 200 W. 500 North, is $5 with a can of food, $10 without. For more information, contact benefit organizer Richard Lance, 374-5501.
