Five Southern Utah University staff members were honored at a retirement banquet in the Harris Pavilion.
Gary Davis, Hal K. Campbell, Thomas and Betty Kingsford, and Burch Mann were the honorees.Campbell is retiring as head of the SUU music department after 26 years with the institution.
Davis came to SUU in 1971 and has held several positions, including plant supervisor and campus plumber. In 1982, he became head groundskeeper.
Tom Kingsford retired last year after a 24-year career with the Thunderbirds, serving as head football coach and golf coach.
Betty Kingsford is retiring as associate vice president for student services after 20 years with SUU.
When Burch Mann joined the SUU faculty in 1982, she was already a nationally known dancer and choreographer.
