Singer LaToya Jackson says she has proved her detractors wrong by finding success overseas. Michael Jackson's sister performs six nights a week at Paris' famed Moulin Rouge nightclub. Many shows at the 1,000-seat club have been sold out, she told Ebony magazine. None of her albums has been a critical or commercial success in the United States. "Everyone thought I would fail," she said of her Moulin Rouge success. "You have no idea how much courage it took for me to do this." In her autobiography, "Growing Up in the Jackson Family," Jackson accuses her parents of abusing her emotionally and physically. Her parents denied the allegations.
