The Utah Technology Finance Corporation will sponsor a nationally broadcast conference on financing the commercialization of technology on Monday, June 22, at UVCC's Orem campus.
The broadcast will be live and is part of a satellite teleconference series for enterprise leaders developed by National Technological University. The conference begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m.The objective of the program is to help entrepreneurs learn about alternative ways to finance the commercialization of new technologies and to help companies find out if they can plan for and achieve commercialization systematically rather than by accident.
The program will feature discussions and interaction of two groups: financing gatekeepers who can open or close a road to market for a new and otherwise unproven technology, and technology owner-managers with the tasks of choosing and pursuing one or more roads at different points in the enterprise's life and its new technologies.
The conference costs $10, including a box lunch. To register, contact the BYU Small Business Development Center, 378-4022.
