Outstanding high school students from Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Georgia and Washington, D.C., and their science teachers will take a look at the challenges and potential of space exploration at a Pathway to Mars Workshop June 22-27, sponsored by the Rocky Mountain NASA Space Grant Consortium. Most sessions of the weeklong workshop are open to the public at no cost.
Most sessions are in Room 104 of the Engineering and Mining Classroom Building at the University of Utah.Among the week's highlights is a lecture on NASA's program for planetary exploration by William R. Claybaugh, director of external initiatives in NASA's Office of Exploration. Claybaugh's presentation is Monday, at 10:15 a.m.
