The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake will kick off their South Salt Lake Club capital building campaign with a luncheon Wednesday, June 24, in the South Salt Lake auditorium.
The new club will be located at 250 E. Gregson (3050 South). Groundbreaking is scheduled for Aug. 11. The club will include rooms for meetings, classes, arts and crafts, computer learning, games and other activities. Grand opening is Dec. 4.The project will cost $569,000. The campaign needs to raise $208,620 through community support. All gifts over $54 will be honored on the donor wall in the club.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for children, has been part of Salt Lake community life for more than 24 years. Through four clubs, it annually provides services to more than 8,000 children ranging in age from 3 to 17 in areas of citizenship and leadership development, health and physical education, cultural enrichment and personal and educational development.
