The body of a Utah man who drowned in Flaming Gorge more than two years ago has been recovered.

Sweetwater County Sheriff Gary Bailiff said a fisherman early Tuesday "snagged and dragged" to his boat the body of William Roger Stewart. The 44-year-old from Ephraim, Sanpete County, had drowned accidentally while fishing near the Rawlins Draw just north of the Utah-Wyoming state line.Stewart was reported missing April 20, 1990, when he failed to return home from a fishing trip.

Dental records were needed to verify identification. An autopsy revealed no signs of violence; the case is being handled as an accident.
