The Great Salt Lake Truck Show, an event for the trucking industry and the public, will be held in the West Jordan City Park from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23, with the proceeds going to the National Kidney Foundation of Utah.
D. Jeffrey England, truck show chairman, said the event is a good opportunity to show off the trucking industry's equipment and help the public learn more about the industry. Also, he said, it helps raise money for a worthwhile cause.In addition to displays and demonstrations provided by a variety of trucking organizations, the event will feature large trucks, state-of-the-art trucks and equipment, unusual vehicles and rides on some vehicles and equipment.
