Location: South Marina is located 8 miles north of Ogden off I-15, North Marina 7 miles further north on I-15.

Features: This man-made, 9,900 acre lake provides excellent boating, sailing, camping, and year-round fishing for crappie, walleye and channel catfish.

Facilities: North Marina -- 62 campsites, modern restrooms, hot showers, sewage disposal and fish cleaning station, boat slips and sandy beaches. south Marina -- 30 campsites, boat launching ramp and modern restrooms.

Season: North Marina is open year-round, while the South Marina is only open from from April through October.

Fee: Day use is $3, camping from $7 tp $9, depending on facilities.

Elevation: 4,200 feet.

Nearby: Several town -- large and small -- in the area with variety of activities. Neighboring Great Salt Lake offers excellent opportunity to see variety of birds and small game. Several waterfowl management areas with short drive.

Community Events: Peach Days in Brigham City on Friday after Labor Day. In Ogden, Pioneer Days July 19-25; Davis County Morgan County and Weber County Fair in fall; "Anything that Floats" contest at Willard Bay; and Golden Spike Rodeo in Tremonton.

Tip: Great boating water -- large, open and generally smoother water, so great for water sports like water skiing and tubing. Proximity to populated areas makes it ideal for day or afternoon trips. Also great place to fish.
