Johnathan Amos Hunt (Gunlock Johnnie), 91, died June 16, 1992 at Porter's Nursing Home.
He was born May 11, 1901 at Giles, Wayne Co., Utah to Joseph Henry and Maybell Shaw Hunt. He married Agnes Jones of Enterprise in the St. George LDS Temple December 1, 1927. They have lived in Gunlock, Pioche, Nevada; Veyo, Central, Enterprise and St. George. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Joseph William; two sisters, Mrs. Jacob (Clarissa May) Jones and Mrs. Richard (Ella Jane) Bowler; one great-grandson, Toby Hunt and one granddaughter, Jeanice Bowler.He loved horses and horse racing, out-doors life, hunting and fishing, and in his early life spent many days chasing wild mustangs in the Nevada deserts. He owned and drove his own truck and hauled hay, coal, livestock and other supplies.
Johnnie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served in several offices and was was a member of the High Priest quorum in the St. George LDS 1st Ward.

Agnes J. Hunt; five sons, John Reed Hunt (his wife, Mary Thomas - Enterprise); Billie Marion (his wife, Sharon Cox - Price); Valdean (his wife, Mavis Malchus - Enterprise); Amos Burnell (his wife,
Velma Waite - Enoch); Paul Lorraine, St. George; and one daughter, DeAnna Lee (her husband,
Richard Christensen, St. George); 21 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sat., June 20, 1992, 11 a.m., Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 300 W. St. George Blvd., where friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment,
Enterprise City Cemtery at 2:30 p.m. under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary.
