Nora Ann Porter Smith, 83, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 1992 in Ogden.

She was born July 11, 1908 in Morgan, Utah, a daughter of Thomas Rich and Fanny May Stevens Porter.She married Asahel E. Smith December 11, 1930 in Ogden, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away January 3, 1969.

She was reared and educated in Henefer, Utah, had lived in the Layton-Kaysville area the past 60 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kaysville 2nd Ward. She had served in the Primary, as Young Womens advisor, ward librarian and visiting teacher. She worked at Bowman's Market in Kaysville for 35 years. Her hobbies include handiwork and gardening. She loved flowers and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survived by one son and three daughters, Donald Porter Smith, Ogden; Marion and husband Dee Wright, Kaysville; Connie and husband Rod Chambers, Poway, Calif.; Carol and husband Ken Crawford, Kaysville; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.

Funeral services will be Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at the Kaysville Rock Chapel, 25 South 200 East. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Saturday, at the church, one hour prior to the services. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
