Alvin "Sam" Leon McNeil, 64, died June 17, 1992 at his residence in Kamas.

Born November 19, 1927 in Francis, Summmit County, Utah to John Alvin and Sarah Jane Prescott McNeil. Married Lorene Lewis August 18, 1955 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Owner of McNeil Welding and Repair. Dairyman. Veteran of Korean Conflict, member of American Legion. Member of LDS Church. Former Kamas Mayor. Past president Kamas Valley Lions Club. Chairman, Kamas Valley Fiesta Committee.Survived by wife, Kamas; two sons, Alvin and (Cathy), Marion; Blake and (Jeanne), Kamas; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Stacie) Dykman, Midvale; Mrs. Alan (Lou Dean) Siddoway, Rockport; Mrs. Bret (Lou Jean) Argyle, Randolph; nine grandchildren, brother, Emmit McNeil, Kamas; brother-in-law, Mark Mitchell, Francis; sister,

Eunice Ewing, Anchorage, Alaska. Preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, Alfronzo, Marlin, Laile, Gwen.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m. in the Kamas Ward Chapel. Friends may call Friday 7-9 p.m. at the Crandall Funeral Home, Kamas and Saturday at the Chapel one hour prior to services. Burial, Marion, Utah Cemetery.
