To the editor:
I note Adam Campbell's letter of June 5 where he analyzes the check-writing habits of Owens, Anderson and Cannon. He points out how shameful this is but concludes that of the three, only Cannon is not "responsible for his own actions" and "not willing to stand by what he says and does."Aside from the fact that Cannon never criticized Owens for check bouncing - we assume that Campbell is therefore endorsing either Owens or Anderson, presumably Owens, since he is the clear Democrat front-runner.
We are curious - is an example of Owens' integrity (as defined by Campbell) where he tells Utahns he is essentially pro-life but then votes for abortion on demand in military hospitals?
How easily his virtue is rationalized away.
