A free summer solstice celebration, with a Star Trek theme, will be held at the Hansen Planetarium on Saturday, June 20.

At 12:15 p.m. a lecture on the longest day of the year will be given in the Star Theatre. From 1 to 2 p.m. officers and crew members (in uniform) from the USS Kelly will greet visitors on the second floor of the planetarium to explain two scale model space ships - the USS Enterprise and a Romulan War Bird.At 2 p.m. everyone dressed as a Star Trek character (Earthling, Vulcan, Romulan, etc.) will be admitted free to the newest planetarium star show, "The Endless Horizon." - SNOWBIRD WILL CELEBRATE summer solstice on Saturday and Sunday, June 20 and 21. The ski and summer resort will offer half-price Tram rides to the top of 11,000-foot Hidden Peak to anyone who dresses completely in white. Tram hours on Saturday, June 20, will be extended two hours (from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.) for viewing the late (9:03 p.m.) sunset. On Sunday, tram hours will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
