A total of 2,500 people from both sides of the issue were at the three sites. The arrests began after about 15 youngsters got on their knees across from the Summit Women's Health Organization, yelled "Go!" and ran toward the clinic, dropping again to their knees in front of a line of police officers near entrances.

Throughout the morning, groups of people ran across the street and sat, knelt or lay in front of police.
