A Magna man remained in critical condition Monday after a head-on crash Sunday that killed a Phoenix man.

Killed was Jay M. Clark, 40.Two vehicles collided just before 10 a.m. about five miles south of Circleville on U.S. 89, according to the Utah Highway Patrol office in Richfield.

Raymond L. Brown, 24, Magna, was taken by helicopter to LDS Hospital where a nursing supervisor said Monday he was still in critical condition. Rescuers used extrication equipment to remove him from his wrecked car.

The two passengers in Clark's car, his wife, Peggy, 35, and April Clark, 16, were treated for injuries at the hospital in Garfield.
