TREATY LEADING TO LOSS OF FREEDOM

SHARE TREATY LEADING TO LOSS OF FREEDOM

To the editor:

On April 2, as America was sleeping in false security, the U.S. Senate ratified the "International Covenant On Civil and Political Rights." No senator demanded a roll-call vote. No one questioned whether a quorum was present. It was simply announced that two-thirds had approved the matter by voice-vote. There is no doubt that President Bush will sign this into law. This U.N. treaty is leading to the loss of the First Amendment freedom of speech. It is the beginning link in the chain of oppression of the New World Order. The Foreign Relations Committee states that it may be necessary to question whether changes in U.S. law should be made to bring the United States into compliance at the international level.

Would our forefathers have signed this treaty? Are their sacrifices in vain?
