Joseph Clifford Parton, 72, passed away June 7, 1992, at a Salt Lake hospital of an aortic aneurysm.

Born August 21, 1919, in Salt Lake City to Joseph B. and Blanche Carlson Parton. He married Arline Nielsen July 6, 1939; she preceded him in death Nov. 5, 1974. He married Phyllis Phillips July 24, 1976. He graduated from East High in 1938, attended the U. of U., and served as a pilot, bombardier, and navigator during his 22 years of service with the USAF, and retired in 1964 with the rank of major. He later retired from Hill AFB civil service. Avid fisherman and member of the LDS Church. He loved his family and was always willing to help those in need. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and neighbors.He is survived by: his wife, Phyllis, Midvale; children, Clifford J., Phoenix, Ariz.; Steven C., Joseph C. II, Julie Parton, all Salt Lake City; stepchildren, Carol Jean Phillips, Phoenix, Ariz.; Gregory S. Phillips, Saudi Arabia; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; aunt, Hazel Farrish, Salt Lake City.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 10, 1992, 12 noon, at Mountain View

Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South (Bengal Blvd.) where friends may call one hour prior to services.
