Alyce died at home in Heber City, June 8, 1992, of natural causes incident to age.
Born to Parley and Frederieka Brotherson Hansen in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, June 5, 1907. Married Leslie Lowe Ashton, May 13, 1928; Lowe preceded her in death in 1957.Survived by: son and daughter-in-law, Leslie Lowe Ashton, Jr., and June V. Jones Ashton, Heber City; daughter, Merry Alyce Ashton Harmston, Heber City; and daughter-in-law, Lola McGuire Ashton Warr, Richfield; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Cluff, Roosevelt; Crystal Smith, Billings, Montana; Lucille Lipphardt, Vernal. Preceded in death by a son, Homer Hansen Ashton.
Graduate of Wasatch Academy, Mt. Pleasant, attended Utah State Agricultural College. Charter member, Chi Omega Sorority, Utah State Chapter. Actively participated in family businesses for over 40 years. Traveled the world over during her retirement. Member of local civic groups, Pink Lady at Wasatch County Hospital, several Heber Valley and Salt Lake Bridge Clubs, which were Alyce's primary social recreation for over 60 years.
Memorial tribute for Alyce will be held Sunday, June 14, at the Homestead Resort, Midway, in the Garden Room, 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions could be made to Wasatch Academy, 120 So. 100 West, Mt. Pleasant, Utah, 84647.
