Richard Harrington, Republican candidate for Utah's 3rd District congressional seat, says the current Congress is "one of the worst in the history of the U.S."
Harrington said the House Democratic leadership last April marshaled its party members to vote against disclosure of the House post office investigations. The votes on the motions not to disclose information were closer than expected, as many Democrats broke party rank to vote in favor of disclosure.Unfortunately, Utah's two Democratic members of the House weren't among those that voted to disclose the findings of the investigation.
Harrington said the House bank scandal, the House post office scheme and record budget deficits are evidence that the Democratic-controlled Congress has "stolen America's future."
"This Congress is one of the most scandal-ridden in history," Harrington charged. "And the Democratic leadership tries to browbeat the Congress to cover up its wrongdoing. The Democrats should know that the people are angry. . . . And we won't forget what they've done."
