DEATH: ROBERT C. CHILDS

Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Robert C. (Bob) Childs, 84, of Santaquin, passed away August 30, 1992.

He was born September 12, 1907 in Noble, Oklahoma. He married Eldora York Childs, Sept. 8, 1944; marriage later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was a welder by trade and worked in the ship yard in World War II, in Washington. He also taught at a welding school in California. He retired from Geneva Steel, after 21 years. He always said he could weld anything but a broken heart or a crack of dawn.He was civic minded, serving on the city council. He was always interested in seeing the city progress. Active member of the LDS Church.

He is survived by his wife, Eldora; son and two daughters, Gary Braithwaite and wife, Marcia, Orem; Mrs. Steve (Marlene) Argyle, Salt Lake City; Mrs. David (Lynda) Broadbent, Santaquin; sister, Edith Tarwater, Santaquin; two brothers, William Gower, El Paso, Texas; Alma (Rusty)

Gower, Thatcher, Arizona; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Gower.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1992, 1 p.m. at Santaquin Stake Center, 90 South 200 East. Friends may call at Holladay Hills Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, Tuesday, 7-9 p.m. or Wednesday, one hour prior to services at the stake center.

Interment: Santaquin City Cemetery.
