Martha Sarah Hart Burnett, 86, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died Sunday August 30, 1992 at her home in Sunset.

She was born January 14, 1906 in West Weber, Utah, a daughter of Walter S. Hart and Hannah Elizabeth Buck. She was reared and educated in West Weber. She married Joseph Henry Burnett November 13, 1926 in Brigham City, Utah; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple December 11, 1940. She was an active member of the Sunset 4th LDS Ward. She filled and LDS Mission with her husband to the New Zealand LDS Temple for 45 years. She held many church assignments in Primary, Young Womens, Sunday School, Relief Society and was a faithful visiting teacher. She worked for Davis County School District for many years and served as Judge of Elections and was a judge at the Davis County Fair for many years. She had many talents that she shared with her family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting, tatting, sewing, ceramics, cooking and gardening.She is survived by her husband, Sunset; three daughters, and one son, Ethel (Scott) Wiberg, Sunset; Jack J. (Marlene) Burnett, Bountiful;

Evelyn (Darld) Long and Jayne Moser, both of Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ethel E. (John) Bodily, Ogden.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 12 noon at the Sunset Stake Center, 220 West 975 North, Sunset. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 South State, and Wednesday at the Stake Center from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Clinton Cemetery.
