DEATH: GEORGE WILLIAM "BILL" HEWARD

George William "Bill" Heward, age 77, of Evanston, died September 9, 1992 at Evanston Regional Hospital, Evanston, Wyoming.

He was born June 28, 1915 at Almy, Wyoming to Harold and Amy (Sims) Heward. He graduated from Evanston High School in 1934. He married Alice Ruth Norris April 4, 1938 in Coalville, Utah; marriage later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple May 18, 1990. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for eight years. In 1942 he joined his father in the ranching business on the lower Bear River. In 1967 he moved back to Evanston where he worked for the State of Wyoming until retirement. He took pride in baking his special cookies for family and friends, and enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he was very active in the extraction program.

In addition to his wife of Evanston, Wyo.; he is survived by five daughters and one son, Mrs. Thomas (DeeAnn) Marshall, Tooele; Mrs. Rick (Georgia) Adams, St. George; Mrs. Bill (Kaye) Johnson, Elizabeth Busboom, Margaret Fessler, and Russell and wife, Brenda, of Evanston, Wyo.; six sisters, Mrs. Roy (Mildred) Anderson, Las Vegas, Nevada; Mrs. George (Vivian) O'Hara, Salina, Kansas; Mrs. Frank (Luella) Diston, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Rudger (Thelma) Davis, Mrs. Elwood (Mary) Smith, Mrs. Miles (Pat) Alexander, all of Evanston, Wyo.; 18 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Roger, one brother, Walter Don, and one sister, Mrs. Lee (June) Harris.

Services will be held Saturday, September 12, 1992 at 1 p.m. in the Almy LDS Ward Chapel, 251 Elm Street. Viewing Friday, September 11, 1992, from 6-8 p.m. at Crandall Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Uinta County Senior Citizens.
