IT'S A 2-MAN RACE IN UTAH PGA TOURNAMENT

With $10,000 riding on the outcome, Bruce Brockbank entered today's final round of the Smith's Utah Section PGA Championship with a mere one-stroke lead over Milan Swilor at the Jeremy Ranch Golf Course.

Brockbank, the BYU golf coach, shot a 3-under-par 69 Thursday to retain his first-round lead. Brockbank, who shot a 67 in the opening round, took an 8-under 136 total into today's final round. Swilor shot a 67 on Thursday to post a 137 total. That left him three strokes ahead of Brad Stone and four ahead of Mike Malaska.Swilor had ample opportunities to overtake Brockbank. He was 7-under through 15 holes on Thursday, but then three-putted the 16th and 18th holes.

The senior tournament also was a two-man race heading into today's final. Marlow Quick held a one-stroke lead over George Schneiter, 148-149.
