WASATCH FISH AND GARDENS TO HOST FREE PARTY

Take home-grown tomatoes straight from the vine and fresh baked bread with all the trimmings, add music by Matt Flinner and Erik Kingston (The Lonesome Men) and you have "A Taste of Summer" garden party to celebrate Wasatch Fish and Gardens, a nonprofit enterprise that operates a fisheries cooperative and community garden for 11 local human service agencies.

The free party will be Saturday, Sept. 12, from noon to 3 p.m. at the northeast corner of 800 South and 600 East. The event is sponsored by Wasatch Fish and Gardens, with bread donated by Great Harvest Bakery.The public is invited to learn how Wasatch Fish and Gardens provides individuals and families with training, support and resources to involve them in the raising and harvesting of low-cost fish and garden produce.
