PAVIN TIED FOR CANADIAN LEAD

Corey Pavin birdied three of his last four holes and tied Don Pooley for the lead in the incomplete first round of the $1 million Canadian Open.

One group of three players remained on the rain-soaked Glen Abbey Golf Club course when darkness fell. Rookie Fran Quinn had a chance to tie Pavin and Pooley at 5-under-par 67.
