N.J. CONGRESSMAN WON'T SEEK 11TH TERM

Rep. Matthew Rinaldo, R-N.J., announced Friday he will not seek an 11th term in the House and plans to pursue a new career in 1993.

Rinaldo, 61, of Union, N.J., has spent 20 years in Congress. He is the ranking Republican member of the House telecommunications and finance subcommittee."Recently, I was approached and asked to consider a new career," said Rinaldo. "Even though I had every intention of continuing to serve in Congress, I felt compelled to explore challenging opportunities to do something new and different."

He declined to say what his new job would be.
