LINCOLN MANUSCRIPT FOUND IN OLD CABINET

A manuscript of some of Abraham Lincoln's most famous words - urging Americans to "bind the nation's wounds" of war - has been found in an old cabinet.

Experts from Christie's auction house came upon the last paragraph of Lincoln's second inaugural address while rummaging through a New York apartment, Liete Kidd, a Christie's spokeswoman, said Thursday. The excerpt, handwritten by Lincoln, is worth as much as $500,000. It is to be auctioned on Nov. 20. It was found on the front page of an autograph album belonging to a descendant of Caroline Wright, wife of Joseph Wright, a 19th century governor of Indiana.
