The Layton Lancers' Adrian Kelley carried the ball 20 times for 138 yards, crossing the goal line twice and leading his team to a 35-14 crushing of the winless Weber Warriors.
Thad Nalder opened the scoring with an 8-yard TD run in the first quarter and then added a 19-yard TD pass in the second to G.T. Luna to put the Lancers aheas 21-0. Luis Molero added a score to complete the Lancers' attack.Davis 55, Northridge 24
Jeff Peterson scored four TDs, three on the ground and one in the air, to help the Darts build an insurmountable 48-0 lead as Davis stormed to an impressive home win over Northridge.
Peterson had 109 yards on 12 carries. Blaine Couser scored on runs of 5 and 43 yards, and Scott Peepler found Peterson from 36 yards out to round out the attack. For Northridge, Roy Allen scored four TDs in the late going.
North Sanpete 21, Gunnison 6
Cody Baird had 112 of North Sanpete's 226-yard rushing total, plus two TDs, to lead the Hawks over the winless Bulldogs at Gunnison.
Gunnison had an opportunity to tie the game when Nolan Anderson caught a 48-yard TD pass from Matt Sorenson to make the score 7-6. The attempt for the two-point conversion filed and then the Hawks went ahead on a 1-yard Colby Mellor run.
Baird's second TD run in the fourth quarter iced the victory.
Juab 14, South Summit 0
The Wasps had to supplement a lackluster 159 yard total offense with some outstanding defense, and managed to pitch a shutout in a battle of winless Region Nine teams at South Summit.
The swarming Wasp defense held the Wildcats to just 56 yards of total offense and blocked a punt inside the 10-yard line to set up their first score, a 1-yard Ryan Wright plunge in the first quarter.
Lehi 29, Ogden 14
Guided by Richard Peterson and Kirk Young, Lehi's defense held Ogden to just 25 yards in the second half, allowing Lehi's Cole Cooper to throw two third quarter TDs to break a 14-14 halftime tie.
Cooper found Bart Brockbank, Matt Ekins and Kay Hill for passing scores, and Peterson added a TD on an 86-yard interception return to complete the scoring for the Pioneers. The loss was the first of the season for the Tigers.
Pine View 10, Pleasant Grove 7
Justin Lund crossed the goal line in the fourth quarter on a 1-yard plunge as Pleasant Grove tried to stage a comeback against Pine View, but their bid came up short as the fell at home to Panthers.
Springville 31, Orem 18
The Springville Red Devils extended their unbeatenn mark to 3-0 as they traveled to Orem and downed the Tigers Friday night.
Jeremiah Dellamas completed 13 of 25 passes for 214 yards, as the Red Devils compiled 344 yards of total offense. Dellamas also passed for 2 TDs to lead Springville's impressive victory effort.
Mountain View 44, Spanish Fork 6
Jeff Easton carried the ball 6 times for 141 yards, included a 92-yard dash to open the scoring, to lead the Bruins in a steamroller victory over the Dons at Spanish Fork.
