It's cute! It's cuddly! It's a car alarm!
Security Bear looks like an ordinary teddy bear, but it's actually a new crime-fighting tool made by Rabbit Systems, a company in Santa Monica, Calif., reports 3-2-1 CONTACT magazine. The bear sits in the back seat, attached to a special cable. If someone breaks into the car, Security Bear goes to work."The bear reacts to changes in air pressure," says Josh Davidson of Rabbit Systems. If somebody breaks into the car, the bear makes a noise "that is like having the sound of a fire engine in your car," Davidson says.
It's so loud that no one can "bear" it longer than a few seconds. Of course, owners can turn the bear on and off with a special remote control.
