The University of Utah computer science department has received a $180,000 grant from Motorola Inc., Scottsdale, Ariz., to establish an electronic classroom for computer science courses.

Joseph L. Zachary, assistant professor of computer science, will be responsible for developing the new classroom, which will feature high-performance work stations, with 19-inch monitors, available to students. John Lalonde, a Motor-ola scientist and a recent U. graduate, was instrumental in helping the computer science department obtain the gift.
