DEPUTIES IDENTIFY SLAYING VICTIM AS A SALT LAKER

Salt Lake County deputies have identified a man found slain in his East Millcreek apartment Monday as Fritz John Jocelyn, 27, Salt Lake City.

Jocelyn was shot once in the head and had been dead at least two days when he was found about 10:30 a.m., said Deputy Jim Potter. The victim was the assistant manager at McDonald's at 3300 S. 3300 East, and though he had had a number of roommates in the past, was living alone at the time of his death.

Co-workers told investigators Jocelyn hadn't been to work for five days. They became concerned and asked deputies to come with them to his apartment to check on him.

A deputy found Jocelyn's body hidden in a downstairs room, Potter said.
