Anton J. "Tony" Wissler, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at age 95, on Sept. 14, 1992 to return to his Heavenly Father.

Born April 11, 1897 in Central City, Colorado to Anton and Mary Monsch Wissler. He was one of five children. Married Ruth Elizabeth Wulshleger July 24, 1941 in Reno, Nevada; later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She preceded him in death in 1980. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church and served in many possitions during his life, including a stake mission, and as ward clerk. For many years after his retirement as a steel worker, he and his wife assisted the widows and invalids in the LDS Ward they lived in by taking them shopping and taking care of their yards.

He is survived by a loving son, Richard and his wife, Patricia, who he lived with for many years; also four grandchildren, Richard J., Steven,

Jeffery and Christine; four great-grandchildren, Easton, Michael, Tyler and Trevor, who were all very special to him; one brother, Julius; and one sister, Susan Richey.

Graveside services will be held Friday Sept. 18, 11 a.m. at Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy. Friends may call Thursday evening, 7-8 p.m. at Deseret Mortuary, at Lake Hills, 10055 South State Street, and Friday from 10-10:30 a.m. at Lake Hills Mortuary.
